STAFF REPRESENTATIVE JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
The Florida State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police Inc. Labor Council is currently seeking applications for immediate employment for the position of Staff Representative for the southwest coast of Florida, essentially the territory encompassing Marco Island north to the area of Venice.
The applicant must have extensive experience in the areas of law enforcement, collective bargaining, Law Enforcement Officer/Correctional Officer Bill of Rights, employee representation, and labor-related issues.
Applicants must have at least a high school diploma and preferably a two-year degree in the area of Criminal Justice or Police Science and have been in the field of law enforcement or a related industry. This position's starting salary is $40,000 (negotiable based on qualifications and experience), and tops-out at over $65,000. Additional benefits include an annual COLA, annual merit raise and performance bonuses, an employer-sponsored 401(k), health and dental insurance stipend, 12 paid holidays a year, up to 240 hours of paid annual leave (PTO), the use of a company car with insurance, and enhanced training seminars and programs. Applicants must be willing to be on call 24/7 and able to respond to critical incidents.
The applicant must reside in the SW Florida area, as the area of responsibility will cover the southwest region of the state described above.
